successfully each year. The UKAS accreditation we had accomplished on
127 tests on January 8th, 2003, gives us pride and confidence to state
now that our services are fully performed on internationally accepted
and approved methods.

What does accreditation mean?
Changes in international competition and globalization brought out new
struggles to make Europe the only market of the world and harshen the
competition between countries to get a bigger portion on world market.
These conditions urge the suppliers to find the ways to better market
their products to foreign Buyers. Manufacturers are also obliged to
expand their production variety to meet the needs of growing world
population and improve the quality by using the last technology.
Another point of specific importance is to protect consumer rights.
That need encounters us to the term of “accreditation” frequently.
Accreditation means giving competence. By the means of accreditation,
appropriateness of services is provided by calibration and test
laboratories are evaluated per international criteria. The reliability
of tests required by suppliers or third parties is also ensured
through that accreditation.
What does ISO 17025 mean?
ISO 17025 describing the general requirements to enable testing
services and calibration organization trustworthy is issued by CEN
(Comittee Europeen de Normalisation) which is a body at AET
organization established to do technical and scientific studies for
non-commercial benefits. Laboratories that would like their services
to be verified per ISO 17025 should have the followings: legal
identity, avoid commercial benefits, furnished with both technical
sources and staff to conduct accredited tests properly, cooperate with
other laboratories and standardization organizations, carry out
responsibilities caused by accreditation.
